Here are some notes from the recent special of KagiHeya:

F & F Shop. Enomoto Kei's shop is called "F&F", or "Forewarned and Forearmed". The shop in the SP (which looks like his former basement hang-out at his previous company) looks different from that described in the book. Here is the description of the shop in the book by danburi who has read "The Glass Hammer" (first book of the series):
"According to the book "Glass Hammer" which was the last episode of the season but it was the first time Aoto and Enomoto met in the book. It seems that someone mentioned to Aoto about Enomoto as a security consultant. So she went to visit his store to consult the case. The store is located at the second floor of a tall skinny building. You can see the name of the store "F & F Security Shop" on the window facing the street which was made by sticking blue tape on the inside of the window. There is an elevator but also a very narrow staircase in the building. There is a store sign hanging on the door with F & F and "Forewarned & Forearmed" right under it. When you open the door, there is a chime to know that the door has been opened...

There is a counter in the right hand side where Enomoto sits. On the opposite side of the counter on the wall, you'll see many surveillance cameras including dummy cameras. Under the cameras, there is a glass case where many locks are displayed. On each lock, there is a small card next to it with the approximate time required for an experienced locksmith or thief to be able to unlock. There are other displays such as sliding door auxiliary locks, vibration sensors, anti-theft glass samples, sensors that can detect human body heat, infrared sensors, ultrasonic sensors and many others."

Clues from this SP's Opening Title:

Howdunit. For those who keep saying "it was obvious who the killer is" when watching KagiHeya stories, there are three kinds of mysteries. A "whodunit" mystery is "a novel or drama concerning a crime (usually a murder) in which a detective follows clues to determine the perpetrator." A "whydunit" is "a type of detective story in which the focus is not on who committed the crime, but what were their motives for committing it." And third is a "howdunit" wherein the focus is not on WHO committed the crime, but how they have done it. The locked room stories of KagiHeya including this SP are mainly "howdunit" stories.
(quotes from: wiktionary)

"Through the Looking Glass". Lewis Carroll's 1871 sequel to "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". The Japanese title is "Alice in the Land of Mirror", hence, the title of the book which the SP is based on, "Murder in the Land of Mirror".
(info tip: danburi)

Katsujin. When the old man insists it was "a locked room katsujin incident"... "Katsu-jin" or 活人 means "active" + "life", as opposed to the more common "satsujin" or 殺人 ("kill" + "person" = murder), making Junko confused since it sounds the same.

Pick Gun. Also known as "snap gun." It is a tool "that can be used to force open a mechanical pin tumbler lock (a common type of cylinder lock) without using the key... The snap gun is an alternative to a conventional lockpick, which requires raking techniques to free the pins."
(info: wiki)

Hollow Mask Illusion. The illusion is explained by way of our "strong visual bias for seeing a concaved face as convexed, due to "the power of top-down knowledge for vision". Another example of this illusion is the "Gathering For Gardner" dragon (above).
(info: wiki)

Daimon Gundan. When Serizawa was trying on shades, and says "This makes me look like I'm in some kind of gundan (military or police force)," he was probably referring to the 80's TV cop series, Seibu Keisatsu, "produced by Ishihara Promotions... The series portrays the Western Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Division's Detective Chief Daimon, played by Tetsuya Watari and his subordinates, dubbed the Daimon Force or "Daimon Gundan", and their superior, Section Chief Kogure, played by Yujiro Ishihara, as they fight against heinous criminals." It's considered a flashy "macho drama" with actors wearing suits and sunglasses.

Filming sites. The building in which Serizawa's law firm is supposed to be located is at Kaiga-dori, Minato Ward, Tokyo. The building facade of Enomoto's security shop is the Okuno Building (formerly Ginza Apartment) at Ginza, Chuo Ward, Tokyo (above left pic). And the museum is the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture (middle pic above). The artworks featured (right pic above) were from two American conceptual artists: "Installation for the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art" (the vertical electronic display) by Jenny Holzer ("main focus of her work is the use of words and ideas in public space"); while the art installation on the wall is "Taxonomy (Application) No.3" by Joseph Kosuth , a wall "filled with names of philosophers, thinkers, and religious leaders."
