Shiawase no Kiiroi Hankachi SP 2011: Subbing Status (Complete)

Shiawase no Kiiroi Hankachi 2011 (The Yellow Handkerchief of Happiness) shown on Oct. 10 is a TV remake of the classic 1977 movie. This time it stars Hiroshi Abe as ex-convict Shima Yusaku. After his release from prison, Shima yearns to return to his wife (played by Natsukawa Yui) but feels uncertain about it... While pondering whether he should go back or not, he stays for the meantime in a small town in Hokkaido where he meets two young people (Horikita Maki and Hamada Gaku). Both provide him with friendship as well as encouragement to return to the woman that he pines for. He still loves her but... would she want him back?
