Here are the notes to the SP "Chushingura Rhapsody No. 5 Nakamura Nakazo Shusse no Kizahashi":
First of all, the creators of the SP are the same ones who made another SP I subbed "Rising Jakuchu": Same writer and director, Minamoto Takashi and music director Abe Umitaro. Some of the stars from there are also starring in this latest SP.
This took me a long time to sub since there were a lot of words and phrases that needed research that made me dive into the rabbit hole for hours. I will not include notes anymore about each kabuki actor/character featured, I'm sure you can look them up yourself.
Some words and lines have complicated meanings and lengthy explanations that I could not possibly include in the SP. And so, I've prepared these long notes (as always lol) to help you get a better understanding of the SP...
