Paddington Hatsu 4.50 ~Shindai Tokkyuu Satsujin Jiken (TV Asahi, 24 Mar 2018) is the first of a two story TV special adaptation of Agatha Christie mysteries. This SP stars Amami Yuki as Amano Toko who is an excellent police detective who quit the force to care for her ailing husband. After her husband passed away, Toko became a leading crisis management consultant. She learns that her mother-in-law Suzume (Kusabue Mitsuko) witnessed a woman being strangled and killed by a man inside another train running parallel to her train. Suzume reported it to the authorities but was not taken seriously. Furious, Toko indicated her indignation towards her former colleagues at the police force, and vowed to investigate this matter herself. Police Inspector Karaki (Katsumura Masanobu) was instructed by the higher-ups to keep a close eye on Toko, who might cause them shame and expose the police's inaction. Toko inferences that the body of the strangled woman was dumped at the estate of the Tomizawa family, the maker of a famous confectionary brand. Thinking that the family is hiding the body, Toko instructs professional domestician, Nakamura Aya (Maeda Atsuko) to work as a housekeeper there, and to find the body. After the body was found, all members of the Tomizawa household are deemed possible suspects...

I'm taking a break from subbing dramas. Actually, the only thing I'm interested in subbing was Gokudo Meshi but it's a shame it doesn't have JP subs! I will take on some SPs instead. And since I've just released subs for Kuroido Goroshi, and that I'm currently reading ebooks of Agatha Christie mysteries, I might as well tackle the other two SPs from TV Asahi. So I guess it'll be a summer of mysteries!

Paddington Hatsu 4.50 SP. Done and uploaded.

Daijoyu Satsujin Jiken SP. Still reading the book. Subs coming soon.
Update: Done

Akuma ga Kitarite Fue wo Fuku SP. The second installment of the NHK Kindaichi Kosuke mysteries, the first was "Gokumontou" which I subbed that starred Hasegawa Hiroshi. But the Kindaichi this time is portrayed by Yoshioka Hidetaka which kinda dampens my enthusiasm a bit (since I was hoping to see Hasegawa again). It seems NHK wanted different actors to play the detective role (there'll be a third one after this) so I guess it's okay. But subbing may take awhile and I'm hoping there'll be a raw soon too.
