"Yami no Bansosha Season 2 ~Henshucho no Joken" (WOWOW, Spring 2018) brings back the tandem of Mizuno Yuki (Matsushita Nao) and Daigo Shinji (Furuta Arata). Three years before, this unlikely pair was able to solve a series of cases involving missing women in the 1970s. Now, they team up once again after Nanbu Masaharu (Iwamatsu Ryo), a chief editor for a manga magazine for adult readers, fell to his death from the top of a building. The police regarded it as an accidental death. Publications investigator Mizuno who was incidentally looking into Nanbu's connection with a long-lost manuscript, is verifying if this is true. Meanwhile, manga expert Daigo who took over Nanbu's job as chief editor finds clues that seem to indicate that Nanbu might have been murdered after all. One of the clues was an old drawing done by a mysterious mangaka found among Nanbu's possessions. And how was it connected with the Shimoyama Incident, which is regarded as one of Japan's most famous post-war mysteries?
