Garasu No Ashi (Winter 2015, WOWOW): Near a stretch of wetlands in Hokkaido, stands a tacky-looking love hotel called "Hotel Royale". A young woman named Koda Setsuko (Aibu Saki) married this hotel's owner, Kiichiro (Okuda Eiji) who is old enough to be her father. In fact, he was one of her mother's many boyfriends. Setsuko is fond of Tanka poetry, and even wrote a book of poems, which was funded by her husband. Despite loving Kiichiro, she continues to have an affair with her husband's accountant, Sawaki Masahiro (Ozawa Yukiyoshi). One day, while Setsuko and Masahiro were having a tryst, Kiichiro got into a car accident, rendering him unconscious. Setsuko's mother, Ritsuko (Takigawa Yumi) arrives at the hospital, and is livid with her. Setsuko, who received abuse from Ritsuko when she was a child, ignores her out of spite. Later on, a confrontation between mother and daughter will occur, leading to an even bigger tragic event...
"Garasu No Ashi" is based on the 2010 novel of the same title by Sakuragi Shino (Loveless, Hotel Royal) with a screenplay by Nagata Yuko (Resident 5-nin no Kenshui, Renai Neet ~Wasureta Koi no Hajimekata), and directed by Mishima Yukiko (Shiawase no Pan, Tsukuroi Tatsu Hito).
