Episode 7: "Battle of the Empresses of the Entertainment World...!? Last song of a glorious popular singer"

Episode Synopsis:
Shinigami and his Monitoring Officer are in danger of losing their lives. Their boss, the Chief tells them that if they commit one more blunder, their lives will be cut short. Meanwhile, Akuma strikes again, this time choosing a victim from the entertainment world. She is Tachibana Yukari (Shimizu Kurumi), a popular singer-songwriter. Yukari wants to be famous again after years of not having a single hit. She also hates a certain singer whom she claims has been imitating her, and had robbed her of her fans. She is Nakano Ami (Yuzuki Fuka), the current popular singer, who says she idolizes Yukari... Can Shinigami and his Crow Officer manage to stop Akuma from taking another life, as well as, to save their own?
Drama Notes:

Episode Seven Story. This story is based on "Uta Aru Kagiri No Maki" (Story 5, Vol. 2). Differences in the manga: (Spoiler Alert!) There was no ghost writer. The singer's original name in the manga is Yayoi, not Yukari. Akuma did not take Yayoi's soul (despite making 3 wishes), since he was sympathetic to her, felt touched by her sacrifice (though he did slap Shinigami's hand when the latter tried to stop her from falling to her death so she could die because that's what Yayoi had wished).

Cameo Appearance. Kuroyanagi Tetsuko made a cameo appearance again in Ohno Satoshi's drama. She also did the same in Ohno's 2009 drama (also in TV Asahi) "Uta no Onii-san" (left pic above) where he met her at a corridor of a TV station, too. In both scenes, the theme song of "Tetsuko no Heya" (Tetsuko-san's long-running talk show) is played in the background. What's amazing about this is that Tetsuko had also indeed made an "appearance" in the manga story, "Uta Are Kagiri No Maki" (right pic above), which this episode is based on. In the manga story, Yayoi guested in a show which looked like "The Best Ten" (the 80s music show that featured top ten songs of the week, which was co-hosted by Tetsuko, and Kume Hiroshi), where it was announced that her single had reached 2nd place.
Episode Filming Locations:
