Ep. 27: "Freshwater clam soup"
Episode Synopsis.
Hiraga Yoshio (Bengal) and his wife Mizue (Nagashima Eiko) have been coming to Meshiya for breakfast every Saturday morning for a month now. Master always prepares for them freshwater clam-miso soup. He and his other customers think that the couple are a perfect example of a good and loving marriage. One night, Yoshio comes to the shop alone. He says his wife has gone back to their home town because her daughter from a previous marriage has given birth. He admits that he is her third husband, and that Mizue has had a lot of relationships before him. Days passed, and Mizue has not yet come home. Yoshio is getting more and more concerned, especially when he hears that Mizue has been meeting with an old lover. Then, he too, meets a woman one night...
