Projects for 2011 summer season (UPDATED)
My subbing plans for 2011 summerJPTV season:
On-going project:
Freeter, Ie wo Kau
To finish it all within this month. I thought I would be able to finish this by early July. I wasn't able to so I will prioritize it over other projects. Esp. now that spring tv season is over, Freeter is now my major project instead of a minor one.
UPDATE (7/27/11): The complete subs for Freeter will be released on Sunday, July 31, 2011.

This series will start this Saturday, July 9. I have a hunch I will not be as fast as before when it comes to my subbing speed for the rest of the year. Releasing of my subs will be delayed by 1.5-2 weeks from now on. Right now, I am taking a rest after Asuko March, so ep1 subs of DQ will take some time to be released. I am delighted with the premise of DQ though. I do like subbing light comedies over any other genre. (synopisis/trailer here)
UPDATE (7/27/11): Subbing for this has already started.
Arakawa Under the Bridge

Arakawa Under the Bridge drama has quirky characters that include
Riku (Hayashi Kento) and Nino (Kiritani Mirei) who find love under a bridge

Meanwhile, Oguri Shun is the Village Chief and Yamada Takayuki plays Hoshi...With characters like these, how could I resist taking up this show?
Arakawa is still a tentative project. I will watch ep1 first (starting July 26) before making the final decision. I've already seen the anime and yeah, it's pretty damn weird for my taste. It has a great cast though and something tells me that I migghhht just push through with it. A movie is already slated for Feb. 2012 release (movie trailer here), and from the looks of it, it's a kind of a franchise that is meant to attract a cult following.
UPDATE (7/27/11): Sorry. : ( Unless someone can provide me with JP subtitles, I have decided not to push through with subbing this drama.
That's all for now..
