Tenchu ~Yami no Shiokinin~ (Winter 2014, Fuji TV) tells about a mysterious female ninja warrior who gets transported into the future for some strange reason. The young woman, who goes by the name of Sana (Ono Yuriko) is separated from her only living relative and sister, Yu, in a battlefield during the Warring States Period. The next thing she knows, she is suddenly roaming around modern day Tokyo. Cold and hungry, she is found by Murata Masako (Izumi Pinko), a middle-aged widow who lives alone in a big house in a family estate. The widow lets Sana stay with her despite protests from her son Takero (Nogi Ryosuke) and Kyoko (Shiraishi Miho). Masako had a daughter who disappeared many years ago. However, the police had unceremoniously aborted the case. Because of this, she has lost faith with law enforcers. And if she could do it herself, she wishes she could rid the world of criminals and wrong-doers. So with the help of Sana's tremendous physical prowess, Masako decides to form a secret vigilante group. Of course, this does not sit well with the head of the local police, Shudo Jukichi (Shimada Kyusaku) and his assistant Ichinose Yamato (Takezai Terunosuke). Soon, friends with a similar strong sense of justice also join in: Matsuda Ryuji (Kyomoto Masaki), a teacher who specializes in ancient martial arts/caregiving techniques; Yamaki Tatsu (Yanagisawa Shingo), a bento deliveryman and lock-picking expert; and Tojo Mitsuko (Mitsuya Yuji), a flamboyant owner of a snack bar. These five go around Tokyo, helping others in need of justice, and punishing those who deserve it.

Yay! Thanks for subbing this drama! I tried watching a couple episodes without subs but can't get the full enjoyment when only guessing at what they are talking about :)
