Kagi no Kakatta Heya (Spring 2012, Fuji TV) stars Ohno Satoshi as Enomoto Kei, an eccentric individual who happens to be an expert locksmith. He usually stays at the basement storeroom of the security company he works in. Corporate lawyer, Serizawa Go (Sato Koichi) is a practical man who hates having his time wasted and has no interest in crime mysteries. His newly hired assistant is upstart lawyer, Aoto Junko (Toda Erika), a woman with a strong sense of justice and a very curious nature. She manages to persuade Serizawa to help out in a case involving a death inside a locked room. Whichever way they look at it, it seems unlikely to ever get resolved. Until they come upon Enomoto, who with complete confidence declares: "There is no locked room in this world that can't be unlocked..."

Thank you so much for your weekly subs and the thorough translations/explanations of technical terms and specialised language. When work bogs me down mid-week, I like to come here and look at your "update bar" for translation because it lifts my spirits. So far, I've noticed it varies between the colourful bar and the bar of hearts (I'm not describing it well) and I like watching it to keep up with your translations.

You're welcome! I try to update it as much as I can since I'm aware that there are some who are looking forward to it. :)
I was looking for a 'hearts bar' for some time, and since I couldn't find any, I just made it myself (by getting hearts from somewhere and arranging them up into a blinking gif - sounds easy but no, it took me a long time ^^), and made it into arashi colors. Glad you liked it!

...There was a delay in acquiring the ready-made jp subs ('Unlocking systems down'). So we resorted to doing the old-fashioned way of starting-from-scratch subs which is translating by ear and timing it ourselves ('manual lock-picking'). But never mind my 'lock' talk... I'm just amusing mainly myself. lol ^^
