I would guess the movie is based on the first book.......where does the second book fit in? does the tv show have anything relating to that in any way or is the movie both books? if not that's great news for the possibility of another film!
Do check out Yusaku, he has a seriously good screen presence, Detective Story is up on D-Addicts and The Family Game movie is available with subs.....there's also a documentary on him called Soul Red (I think that's the title)
Mahoro Ekimae Kyōsō-kyoku sounds like it will be a prequel or something.
Also I'm really looking forward to I'm Flash which is the first time Ryuhei has worked with the director Toshiaki Toyoda since the movie 9 Souls.
