Here is danburi's translation of KagiHeya producer, Ohara Ichiryu's interview. Taken from the KagiHeya homepage:

 

Q: Straight to the point, will Enomoto’s background be revealed?

 

A: Until now, there were many hints on his background and the past. I am planning to give conclusion to those hints. I would like to describe what happened to him in the past too. In the original novel, it does strongly suggest Enomoto might be a thief but in the drama, there is a strong possibility that the setting will change including that part.

Ep. 9: "The Deceived Man"

Episode Synopsis. Serizawa is asked by Enomoto if he can meet with a customer of his, a company president who's looking for a lawyer. He and Aoto arrive at the office of the said president, who turns out to look suspiciously like a yakuza boss. Feeling apprehensive, Serizawa asks Enomoto what connections he has with the company. The locksmith explains that he was assigned to change all the locks in the place after the company vice president was shot dead on the forehead inside his office. An employee who was present at that time serves as a suspect but he says he was sleeping when the shot was fired. Three days later, that same employee is found dead inside the same office with a pistol in his hand and a bullet through his mouth...
