Once again, so many thanks for your great subs and diligent research, which leaves me in awe. Speaking of which, I caught a reference to one of my favorite poems, 雨にも負けず at around 1:06, when Goro san calls himself a blockhead and "I want to be such a thing". LOL -- his meal was a bit different from Miyazawa's recommended daily ration of 4 cups of brown rice, miso and a few vegetables!
