Ep. 5: "Finally headed towards coupledom!? Mobilizing love skills, eagerly waiting for her final answer"

Episode Synopsis. Reiji (Ohno Satoshi) has finally said "I love you" to Misaki (Haru). Taken aback by this sudden confession, she asks Reiji if she can think it over for a while. Reiji waits the next day and the next, growing more and more impatient for her reply. He feels a bit pessimistic that Misaki will turn him down. So Muraoki (Koike Eiko) advises him to consult Wada (Kitamura Kazuki) on what to do... Meanwhile, Misaki is feeling confused about her feelings. Her co-worker Hiro Mahiro (Shimizu Fumika) is surprised that she is not happy that the president has confessed to her since it might be the chance for Misaki to fulfill her dream of building her own hotel. Misaki says she never wanted a man to help her with her dream... In the meantime, Reiji's personal chauffeur Ishigami (Sugimoto Tetta) has something to confess to Reiji and Muraoki...

Drama Notes:

"Kamisama no Boat" by Ekuni Kaori [神様のボートby 江國香織]. The book that Misaki recommended to Ishigami. It was made into a 2013 drama special by NHK that starred Miyazawa Rie. I am guessing that the books Ishigami was looking at were mostly love stories.

Gakyu iin [学級委員]. Class Representative, the class leader, the one we see in dramas who tells the class to stand up, bow, and sit down every start of a subject. As mentioned in this episode, class reps are often stereotyped (in anime, manga, dramas) as, according to tvtropes, "smart, poised, caring, and butts her/his nose in where nobody wants it". Meanwhile the "toshokakari" [図書係] is the student in charge of getting books from the library for the whole class, and other library-related activities.

What was actually said: "Ao" [

青]

VS. "Mizuiro" [水色]. Miura and the guys were debating whether his tie was "ao" (blue, above left pic) or not. Miura insists that it was "mizuiro" which in English is said to be "light blue" (above right pic). I couldn't use "light blue" since it doesn't work in the context of their debate. I wanted to use a word that doesn't have "blue" in it. I could have opted to use "aqua" in the subs but instead settled for "periwinkle" since that's the closest hue that I perceived regarding the color of his tie.
